Plan the answers you want to capture
A filming day is more productive when it starts with a short list of useful messages. Write down the questions customers ask before they buy, the parts of your service that need explaining and the details that show your approach. Prioritise the topics you can demonstrate clearly in the time available.
Turn each topic into a simple brief: the question, the main answer and the shot that will help explain it. A practical service might show a preparation step. A coach could answer a common first-session question. A shop could demonstrate the difference between two products. These are filming ideas, not claims about results.
Capture the supporting details
Alongside the main explanation, record a small bank of supporting footage. Include wide shots for context, closer details and the steps involved in the work. Hold each shot long enough to give the editor options. Where appropriate, capture still photographs too, so the website and social posts can share a consistent visual story.
Think about the formats before recording. Leave room for a vertical crop when filming a wider scene, and keep important details away from the edges. Check sound in the actual location. A clear explanation is hard to use if the recording is overwhelmed by background noise.
Give each edit one purpose
One longer answer may contain several useful points. Separate them where each can stand alone. An introduction, a demonstration and a common question can become distinct edits rather than three versions of the same clip. Keep enough context so an extract does not change the meaning of what was said.
Write the opening text around the question the video answers. Use readable captions and a relevant next step where needed. Avoid adding a booking prompt to every clip. Some videos simply need to explain something well and help people recognise your expertise.
Organise the footage so it stays useful
Name files by topic and keep notes about permissions, approved uses and any information that may go out of date. Store the final edits separately from the original recordings. A simple index helps you find a suitable clip when a related question comes up later.
How many usable posts you get depends on the brief, footage and editing scope. Agree the deliverables before the shoot rather than assuming every recording will produce a fixed number of reels. Kulmedia can help plan and edit the content around what your business needs to explain.
